143. Anniversary Series: From Helicopter Flying Trainer to Franchisee to AFA Instructor: Meet Curtis

Before he ever stood in front of an AFA classroom, Curtis was teaching in a very different kind of cockpit. A decorated military helicopter pilot, a Dunkin' franchisee who built and sold his business over six years, and then a corporate leader and educator — his path to AFA was anything but straight. And that's exactly what makes him the right person to teach it.

In this anniversary episode, I sit down with Curtis, AFA's Lead Instructor, to talk about what it actually looks like to teach Business Management to franchise operators — what franchisees are missing when they walk in the door, what shifts in the room when the concepts land, and why this training is different from anything a conference session or a book can give you.

This is the story of the curriculum from the inside — told by the person who delivers it.
